Watercolor is so different from oil painting. I first learned to paint in watercolor and I still have a love for the freshness and liveliness that comes from the watercolor medium. The glow from the white paper gives ight to the thin wash of paint that is applied in layers or washes. There are so many ways to express your subject in watercolor from a rigid and tight application to loose and freely applied paint. What is appealing to you as the observer?
